Lover of God - My Ride or Die

Heya, I’m Shannon!
You probably landed on this "About Me" page because you want to know what I’ve done and whether you actually want this chick speaking to your group. So you decided to see what this page says.
Am I right?
Heck yes I am. 😉
Okay, so here’s the deal. Who I am changes daily in my walk with God. I’m just like you. I’m not perfect, and I’m not going to pretend to be. I believe in keeping things real. People have pretty good “spidey senses,” and they can tell when something feels off.
Being genuine doesn’t mean we get a free pass to be a jerk. It just means being vulnerable about who we are and where we are in our journey.
I grew up in a place where partying was practically a sport, and I’ve always had an “all-in” personality… so let’s just say I earned an A++ in that subject.
Then life changed.
I became a single mom while I was in college, and my son Owen changed everything for me. It wasn’t easy, but he gave me a purpose I had never experienced before. This little guy needed me.
Well… he’s not so little anymore. He’s the handsome guy in the picture next to me.
Owen is one of the greatest blessings in my life, second only to my relationship with our Lord and Savior. The Lord is my ride or die, and Owen is a very close second. Both have my love and my attention.
Speaking of that, God is my best friend. I would never have been able to overcome my addictions without Him.
I remember sitting in church and hearing people say that God speaks to us. I thought, "Wow, that’s pretty cool." But when it started happening to me, I almost dismissed it as my own thoughts.
Until one moment changed everything.
I heard Him say my name:
“Shannon, hear Me.”
That’s when it clicked. I knew I would never speak to myself like that.
From that moment on, I dove deep into learning how God communicates with me and with others. Because He does speak to all of us, sometimes differently, sometimes in similar ways.
And yes… some of us have thicker heads than others. (I’m raising my hand here.) Sometimes it takes a little more for the message to break through.
Now, if you’re still reading this, that probably means you like'ee me a little. 😉
And if you do, you should probably know this. I love a microphone.
I’m a motivational speaker and the author of Looking Up Moments: 5 Habits to Hear Him, and I get to talk about the things I care about most.

I can host an event and bring good, clean humor. I can motivate a room full of youth to make the harder, right choice. I can relate to an event filled with woman who are trying to find the courage to live their purpose. And I can speak to a congregation about our Lord and how deeply He cares about each one of us.
At the heart of it all, it comes down to communication, connection, and keeping things real.
I bring an energy that elevates a room.
And when God gives you a talent, He doesn’t want you to bury it.
So here we are… an entire website about Shannon.
Honestly, who would’ve thought? 😂

If you’ve read this far, then maybe your gut is telling you something.
If that’s the case, reach out. I’d love to hear from you. Whether you’re planning an event, looking for a speaker, or just want to connect, I’d be honored to hear your story.

Yours truly -
Shannon
